How we use and protect any information that you give us when you use this website.

Who we are

This website is owned and operated by K&B Screeding Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 12298780. Our registered office is 284 Lynch Hill Lane, Slough, SL2 2PU.

K&B Screeding Ltd is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. Our director, Donatas Bardisevicius, is responsible for data protection. You can contact us:

What information we collect

When you send an enquiry through our website, by phone, by WhatsApp or by email, we collect the details you choose to give us:

your name;
your phone number and email address;
the site postcode, the service you are interested in, the approximate floor area and your project details;
how you heard about us, if you choose to tell us;
with a form enquiry, the page you sent it from and, where available, how you reached our website: the first page you visited, campaign tags in the link you followed (such as utm_source), an advertising click reference (such as a Google click ID) and the site that referred you. Some of these are only kept if you accepted cookies.

How we use it and our lawful basis

We use your details to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quotation, arrange and carry out the work, and keep the records a business must keep. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and performing that contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). For accounting and tax records our basis is legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).

We use the information about how you reached our website, and how you heard about us, to understand which of our marketing brings enquiries. Our lawful basis for that is our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)).

We do not send marketing emails, we do not sell your information, and we do not use it for automated decision making or profiling.

Who we share it with

Our website is hosted by Vercel Inc. Enquiries sent through the website forms are passed to Web3Forms, a form handling service, which emails them to our inbox. Both act as our processors and handle your information only on our instructions. Some of their systems are in the United States; transfers are covered by the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

Our email is provided by Microsoft (Microsoft 365), which stores the enquiries and messages we receive as our processor.

If you contact us on WhatsApp, your messages, phone number and profile name are carried and stored by WhatsApp, which is part of Meta. WhatsApp handles that information under its own terms and privacy policy (www.whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy). If you would rather not use WhatsApp, you can call, email or use the form on this website instead.

We may also share information with our accountant, and with a supplier where that is needed to deliver your job. We will never share your information for anyone else's marketing.

How long we keep it

If an enquiry does not lead to work, we delete it within 12 months. If we carry out work for you, we keep the job and invoice records for six years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as required for tax purposes, and then delete them.

Cookies and third party content

We do not use any analytics on this website at the moment.

We do not use Google Analytics or Google Ads measurement at the moment. If we turn them on, Google's cookies will only be set after you press Accept on our cookie banner, and Google will then receive information about your visit under its own terms and privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). You can change your choice at any time from Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Our cookie policy (www.kandbscreeding.co.uk/cookies/) explains this in full.

Our home page and contact page can show a map from Google Maps. The map only loads when you choose to show it. When it loads, Google may set cookies and receive your IP address under its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). Our fonts are hosted on our own website, so no font requests are sent to Google.

If we add any other analytics or advertising tool, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Security

The website is served only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and the enquiry form is sent over that connection. Access to our email and records is limited to the people who need it to deal with your enquiry or job.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
ask us to delete your information, where we do not need to keep it for a legal reason;
ask us to restrict how we use your information, or object to how we use it;
ask us to transfer information you gave us to you or to another organisation.

There is no charge for making a request, and we will reply within one month. We may need to confirm your identity first.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), ico.org.uk, telephone 0303 123 1113.

Our website links to other sites, such as Google, Facebook and LinkedIn. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your information, so please read their privacy policies.
